Smart Grid Technician Training Curriculum
Smart Grid technology is on the horizon for both power utilities and consumers of electricity. This powerful new curriculum is aimed at traditional and non-traditional students who are looking to enter into the Power Utility Industry. Grid specific courses include Smart Grid 100: An Overview, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Intelligent Energy Management Systems (IEMS), and many more.

IT’s Time to Get Ahead with PCATT
You know the moment you purchase a computer or tech gadget, it’s obsolete. Imagine what happens with your tech skills. As with tech and digital equipment, our skills require constant upgrading. That’s why PCATT was conceived by forward thinking Legislators in the year 2000. Our Legislators believed that a trained workforce combined with our beautiful location would attract new businesses to Hawaii and diversify our economy. Additionally, Hawaii residents could be trained here at home rather than flying to the Mainland.
So what are you waiting for? It’s time to get ahead with PCATT.
Services
Training Classes and Programs
All colleges in the consortium offer scheduled courses and training programs for individuals needing skill enhancement, as well as individuals interested in pursuing training leading to career changes. A listing of these courses and programs is published quarterly and mailed to former and prospective customers. If you would like to be included in the PCATT mailing list go to contact us and follow the on-screen directions. A listing of PCATT offerings can also be found on this web site at schedule.
Contract Training
Companies and organizations often desire customized training for a group of individuals from their company or organization. The PCATT colleges have done extensive “contract training” and can generally tailor a training program to meet specific training needs. In some instances, training programs can be delivered onsite.
Training Facilitation
Many of the PCATT colleges have facilities that can be rented when not being used by the college for instruction. Computer laboratories, presentation classrooms equipped with computers and video projection systems, and other specialized laboratories are often available for use by businesses at very reasonable rates.

PCATT Apple Summer Institute will be held on Monday through Wednesday, May 13, 14, and 15. We are planning an exciting, engaging and informative three-day event again this year.

The dates are set for the 11th annual PCATT IT Summit
Mark your calendar now and plan to attend the 11th annual PCATT IT Summit. The Summit will be held at PCATT/Honolulu Community College on Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17. This is a free event for O'ahu and Neighbor Island IT high school and higher education instructors, coordinators and administrators. We also encourage business and industry IT technicians and managers to attend. The Summit will include two days of leading edge IT keynotes and breakouts.
