Central Pacific ASC-ITC
Central Pacific Academy Support and Instructor Training Center was found in 2011 to provide a primary resource for Cisco Academies in the Central Pacific, including Guam, American Samoa, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Fiji, and Hawaii. We also support and partner with many U.S. mainland and international Cisco Academies. Our proactive role in the international arena for Cisco Networking Academy is a distinguishing characteristic of our ASC-ITS.
Central Pacific ASC-ITS grew out of the original Honolulu CC “Cisco Academy Training Center”, founded onsite in China, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Our Cisco Academy professors have collectively authored eleven Cisco Press books on routing, switching, and troubleshooting. Our faculty have served as coauthors for every iteration of CCNP curriculum development since 1.0, including CCNPv7.0. We are proud of our international leadership role in the Cisco Academy, past and present. Honolulu CC is one of only two Instructor Training Centers (ITCs) in the U.S. sanctioned by Cisco Systems in ALL the iterations of Cisco Academy curriculum created since 1997. We strive to remain proactive, to keep our instructors trained in the latest Cisco curriculum, and to ensure our teacher trainers are certified in all Cisco Academy curricula. Central Pacific ASC-ITC is physically located at Honolulu CC, one of ten campuses in the University of Hawaii system. The administrators and faculty associated with our ASC-ITC work for the Pacific Center for Advanced Technology Training (PCATT), a consortium of the University of Hawaii Community Colleges administratively based at Honolulu CC. Since 1998, our Cisco Academy personnel have maintained direct communication with the founders and subsequent leaders of the Cisco Academy working for Cisco Systems. Our long-term relationships with Cisco leaders allows us to keep our Academy partners up-to-date with the latest content and resources.
