Welcome to the Pacific Center for Advanced Technology Training
(PCATT)
the University of Hawaii Community Colleges' advanced technology training consortium

Message from PCATT Director: Dr. Dan Doerger
As the Director of the Pacific Center for Advanced Technology Training, I am responsible for guiding workforce development in the technology sectors among the seven University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges. I meet with industry leaders and the faculty and staff of both credit and non-credit programs to analyze workforce needs, design opportunities to train and upskill Hawaii’s workforce, and create statewide pathways (K-12 to post-secondary to workforce) for success in those trainings. I am a life-long educator with more than thirty years of teaching experience in secondary education and at the university level as a professor of English Education. I come to PCATT from within the UHCC system where I was the Director of Workforce Innovation. I am also the former Alignment Director for Hawaii P20 Partnerships for Education where I worked on statewide policies related to the placement of high school graduates into gateway ELA and math courses across the UH system.
You can reach me by email at ddoerger@hawaii.edu or you can call the registration office at (808) 845-9296
How PCATT Can Help
PCATT courses for industry partners can be distance-delivered or taught on-site, depending on equipment requirements. Start dates and times may be adjusted to meet your organization’s schedule. PCATT trainings are flexible; there’s no need to wait for the semester to start.
We help you work towards industry certifications. PCATT delivers training in partnership with companies including but not limited to CompTIA, AWS, VMware, Cisco, and Oracle
Do you see a course you like but want it just for your company or organization? We can do that. Do you see a course and want to add a component or not cover topics you already know? We can do that too.
We follow safety protocols and adjust to State of Hawaii and CDC guidelines as they change. Providing a safe and healthy environment is a priority.
